So, Royal Albert Hall is embracing and encouraging street art, eh? Artists from the Wonderland Collective (thanks to Daydream Network) have been working hard since Thursday to make RAHs loading bay perfectly amazing. The artists are: Ben Slow, Eyesaw, Dan Kitchener, Snik, Blam, Grafter, Babel, Finbarr DAC and DBO.
The loading bay is open to the public on Monday 22nd June, but I managed to sneak in earlier this evening.
In secrecy Banksy has made a big part of the Bristol Museum his. The museum was closed on Thursday and Friday last week, so that Banksy and his workers could transform the museum into Banksy vs Bristol Museum. The exhibition runs until 31st August and is most definitely a trip worth down to Bristol.
I think I can say that I am quite excited about C215's first solo show in London's Signal Gallery. The show is titled Shoeshiners. Its name comes from C215's many trips around the world to countries such as India and Morocco and having met many shoeshiners in those countries. (example)
So far I have only seen C215's work out on the street and therefore I am really excited to see his work being framed.
For those who do not know C215, he is a French stencil artist and makes in my opinion one of the most amazing inspiring art. Check out his Flickr page on www.flickr.com/photos/c215
For the 2nd time running Upfest had over 100 artists painting live in 5 venues in Bristol. I loved it! It was especially very interesting to see the progress of a painting and in particular those from Hush, Guy Denning, Dale Grimshaw and David Walker. I took million of photos as usual and a few of them are pictured below and more of them are on Flickr.
