I will be in Dutchland for two weeks as from tomorrow. Say hello if you see me. I can be spotted at a Holy Fuck gig, Yeah Yeah Yeahs gig and London Calling (day 2 + 3). As for London Calling I do now wish that I had bought a ticket for 30th April. What a great line-up for that day with the likes of Delphic, Filthy Dukes, Stricken City, Golden Silvers and Erol Alkan. Oh well... Here is a London Calling mixtape as made by Sandeman. (download) Happy days!!! - Email article to friend Delphic @ Pure GroovePosted by Nicole @ 8:47 PM April 15, 2009
Delphic from Manchester seriously do not know how to stop. It is non-stop they play. Too cool! - Email article to friend Wonderland Collective @ Light BarPosted by Nicole @ 7:47 PM April 12, 2009
I broke my own rules (i am finishing unfinished business) today and came out of the house for an hour or so to see some live painting action. Cool to see how a painting gets finished from beginning till end. My favourite out of everything I saw earlier today is Finbarr's Jimi Hendrix. The inside of the Light Bar (Shoreditch High Street) has a selection of Wonderland Collective paintings on the wall and they are shown there until 25th April.

So, Riton will soon release a new single and to promote this he is DJing at Plastic People on the upcoming three Thursdays (16th, 23rd & 30th). He won't be there alone, as that would be a bit boring, yes? So, he has invited some friends to join him on each night. Who are those friends? Well, this is top secret and on the day before each night the organisers will announce who the special guests are. BUT, I did a little bit of searching yesterday, which did not really take me that long, and found out who is joining Riton. You will get: Zongamin + Mickey Moonlight(30th?), 2Many DJs (16th?), Mehdi + Xavier Justice (23rd?). I do not know who is DJing on which night though, so that's for you to keep an eye on. [edit]My predicted dates now added. - Email article to friend XC @ Gallery 90Posted by Nicole @ 10:12 PM April 9, 2009
Earlier tonight saw the opening of Gallery 90, a new gallery in North London, with XC being the first show. This urban art show features the work of 22 artists, 1 sculpture and a LOAD of paint (apparently). If you are free on Saturday from midday onwards and fancy getting an original artwork by one of the artists, bring something you'd like painted with you and you might be lucky. I am tempted to get my bag painted preferably by Ben Slow or Grafter or t.wat (if they are around), but I need to finish some unfinished business. Argh!
