Delphic & The Golden Filter @ Queen of Hoxton
Both Delphic and The Golden Filter played at The Queen of Hoxton as part of Dummy night. The Queen of Hoxton only opened a few weeks ago and Dummy was celebrating the launch of its website, so a good reason to pop down to 1 Curtain Road. It was Delphic who I wanted to see. A simple hello and goodbye is all they said, as there was no stopping them. No breaks in between songs, just boom, boom, boom! Delphic most definitely have a good future ahead of them. Well, they are supporting Phoenix at Koko on 1st June, where I will be and I would like to see them again before that. The Golden Filter from NYC surprised me a lot with their discoish sound. I can now understand why DJs such as Tiga and Erol have 'Solid Gold' playlisted in their sets. Cool, very cool!
